Sometimes women, and even their partners, feel they just need to talk about their birth and have an independent person listen.
You may be stuck in the middle of your postpartum period and thought you didn’t help.
I am here to offer that time and space for you to debrief, rest ask questions and feel heard.
Doula-la offers SOS Help! This is when you thought you didn’t need a doula and now you feel you need the physical, emotional and mental support.
I offer a free SOS call for mothers with babies up to 18 months old. This phone call will be you just unloading! but it also means you made the first step in getting help.
We can organise a “Bespoke” package to meet your needs.
After that initial phone call, we would book in a visit where we can prioritise some of your needs and make a plan.
I have suffered postnatal depression and was diagnosed when bub was 4 months old, and upon reflection, I would have loved a Doula!
I would of ask her to sit with me, play with my kids, help around the house with small tasks, help with meal prep and held my hand at my appointments.
This is just what I would have wanted, but like I said before- This is Bespoke- which means we design the special package for you!

WHY BIRTH DEBRIEFING?
A birth debrief is an opportunity for you to tell your birth story. To unpack how it happened and why certain decisions were made. It’s to talk through any feelings you’re having around your birth and the postpartum period, whatever they may be for you.
A birth debrief will give you the opportunity to ask any questions about your birth experience. This session will help you move forward and work through any birth-related trauma. It will also give you options for any future birth and help rebuild any birth confidence you may have lost.
Debriefing is important because it can help with:
Feeling like you are now being listened to
Reflection on your experiences and feelings
Validation of your emotions and mindset
Clarification on medical terminology or outcomes
Feeling you are now on a therapeutic journey
